Hi! I’m Li-Yuan Tsao (曹立元), a second-year Ph.D. student at University of Texas at Austin, advised by Prof. Philipp Krähenbühl.

I received my Master’s degree in Computer Science and Bachelor’s degree in EECS at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), advised by Prof. Chun-Yi Lee. I’ve also been fortunate to work with Prof. Ming-Hsuan Yang, Dr. Kelvin C.K. Chan, and Dr. Deqing Sun during my time as a visiting student at UC Merced.

I am currently working on Efficient LLMs, including KV cache compression, long-context modeling, and sample-efficient RL post-training methods. If you have research opportunities or any ideas to discuss, feel free to reach out!

Mar, 2025 I will be joining the University of Texas at Austin as a PhD student in August 2025!
